The Effects of Content Variety and Tracking Level on User Presence

A large scale exploration of the differences between spherical video, computer generated content, and movement on user presence inside virtual reality. 

 

Field Experiments in Virtual Reality

The inaugural field experiment using a mobile virtual reality setup. We outline benefits and drawbacks to field data collection.

 

Ethnography & Harassment Behaviors

Used mixed methods (quantitative and qualitative) to explore the prevalence of harassment in virtual worlds. 


Social Distance & Perceived Physical Distance

Mediated communication appears to increase perceived physical distance, affected by the valence of the communication.
